Bank of England visit Wilson's
A little earlier this month, Paul Brione, the Head of Authorisations of the Prudential Regulation Authority, part of the Bank of England, came to the school to give the students a talk on monetary policy in the United Kingdom.
Topics covered were incredibly contemporary, ranging from the role of money in society to how the Bank of England would respond differently, as opposed to nationalising banks, if there were another Global Financial Crisis.
Following the presentation, students were engaged in a very lively Q&A session, from the jam-packed audience in the Lecture Theatre.
Three students won £500 (in shredded money) for the quality of their questions.
We look forward to welcoming the Bank of England to Wilson's again in the future.
