Team Reports

Monday

U15B – Wilson’s won the toss and chose to bowl. Taking two wickets in the first over from Yash put Harris Academy under pressure. With exceptional bowling Harris Academy were reeling at 19 for 7 off 8 overs. Wilson’s bowlers lost concentration and fielding became sloppy in which Harris finished on 79 for 8 off 20 overs. Pick of the bowlers Yash (3 for 16) and Kaneesh (4 for 6). Positive batting from Wilson’s made light work of the Harris Academy total. Pick of the batters was Ayan (13 off 13 balls) and Kaneesh (20 off 13 balls)

Tuesday

U13B – Wilson’s won the toss and decided to bowl. Wilson’s managed to keep John Fisher down to 139 for 8 off 20 overs. In reply, Wilson’s were scoring at over 8 runs per over but kept losing wickets and finished all out for 108 in 17 overs.

U13C – Wilson’s lost the toss and were asked to bat. A competitive total of 133 for 4 off 20 overs was due to Adi (31 from 35), Denish (30 off 20 balls) and Cecil (24 off 24). In reply, all the Wilson’s bowlers bowled a good line and length and put John Fisher batters under pressure. Getting behind the run rate saw wickets fall and John Fisher ended on 104 for 9 off 20 overs.

Wednesday

1st XI – Wilson’s lost the toss and were asked to field. Containing bowling from the Wilson’s bowlers kept the Forty Club to 183 for 5 off 44 overs. Ishaan (2 for 30 off 8) had the best bowling figures. In reply, the Wilson’s batters kept losing wickets at key moments. Aarush top scored with 25 but this was not enough, and Wilson’s lost in the last over by 64 runs.

Thursday

1st XI – A disappointing end to the season for the 1st XI with another loss. Batting first saw Wilson’s tumble to 20 for 4 in the first 6 overs which included two run outs. 110 run 5th wicket partnership between Adhrit (63) and Zain (54) helped Wilson’s to a competitive 175 off 40 overs. Steady bowling produced an exciting match by taking wickets at crucial times. Ashutosh was the outstanding bowler (4 for 31). Unfortunately, the Wallington batters composed themselves in the last few overs taking quick singles and the odd big shot for 4 passed the Wilson’s total with one over to spare.

U14A – Wilson’s lost the toss and Langley chose to bat. A positive start with consistent bowling had Langley at 39 for 3 after 10 overs. In the last 5 overs a lack of concentration from the bowlers and the batters saw Langley end on 101 for 6 with Eshvar the pick of the bowlers (1 for 8 off 4 overs). In reply, after losing our opening batter Sam, Raghav performed with maturity scoring 42 off 37 and building a solid partnership with Avyukth (30 off 33 balls). At one stage it looked like Wilson’s would win within 12 overs but losing the two batters soon put pressure on the remaining batters. Wilson’s eventually winning in the 16th over by 6 wickets.

U14B – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to bat. Positive batting from Parth (50 off 41 balls) and Howard (37 off 34 balls) helped Wilson’s reach 171 for 3 off 20 overs. Due to disciplined seam bowling Langley were restricted to 134 for 7 off their 20 overs.
