Football Update #12
Player of the Week
Jad (Year 7) netted a quick fire hattrick for the U12As, and in the same game Ali (Year 7) scored with a thunderous strike into the top corner from 25 yards. Zohair (Year 13) was again excellent for the 1st XI; he has been Mr Consistent this season in the middle of the park. Player of the Week is Harry (Year 8) who showed bravery and composure to score the winning penalty in the final minute of extra time for the U13As in the National Cup.
Team of the Week
The 8th XI played some beautiful football to beat Royal Russell and on the same day the 1st XI won again beating Glyn 3-0. That game completed the 1st XI’s fixtures for the term, and they finish with a very impressive record of 20 wins from 26 games and only two losses. Team of the Week are the U13As, who kept their national cup dream alive winning a thrilling game versus Beth’s. They now face Dover Grammar at home in the last 32.
