Player of the Week
It was an all-action display from Tobi (Year 12) for the 7th XI; he showed some lovely touches and scored a great goal. Another forward player who scores goals for fun is Leo (Year 7), he found the net twice for the U12Bs. Edward (Year 7) scored one of the goals of the season with a free kick from twenty-five yards out which flew into the top corner. Another goal of the season contender came from Dhruv (Year 7), he unleashed an unstoppable volley which resulted in a large roar from the watching crowd. The U14As earned themselves a clean sheet away to Royal Russell, and that was in large part due to Jenson’s (Year 9) organising and marshalling of the back four. Player of the week is Woody (Year 7) who had an outstanding debut for the U12As - he was a rock at the back in their fine win.
Team of the Week
It was a successful first Saturday of the term with some fine displays against Royal Russell winning Wilson's five of the six games. The U14As continued their form from tour with two wins in three days. Our Year 7s continue to impress in their first year at the school, with the U12Bs making it eight wins out of eight on the back of a commanding performance, whilst the U12As played some scintillating football in their big win. The U15Bs continue to have a good season, recording a hard-fought win away versus Royal Russell. Team of the Week are the U13As who beat the always-strong Hampton in the National Cup.
