We are proud of what every single student achieves at Wilson's, but it was a particular pleasure this week to see so many Year 11 pupils and parents delighted by their GCSE outcomes. With 94% of grades 7-9 and 61% grade 9s, these are exceptional results for the year group, but they translate into life-transforming prospects for individual students.

Nearly 40 prospective medics in Year 12 enjoyed a week of activities at the end of last term as part of our University Preparation Programme coordinated by Dr Hubbard.

We have been delighted to hear more about the adventures during Activities Week at the very end of last term.

In September 2023, 408,000 students entered the national Bebras computing competition across all year groups. Of these, only the top 5% qualify for the next round, the Oxford University Computing Challenge (OUCC). We had many qualifiers across all year groups, so congratulations to them.

We were very fortunate to be joined by Professor Nira Chamberlain OBE. Dr Chamberlain, a Chartered Scientist, Chartered Mathematician, as well as a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA), works with Speakers for Schools.
