Team Reports

U14A – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to bat and after some steady scoring from Sam (35 off 50). Anshul and Avyukth picked up the pace in the last few overs to post 107 for 4 off 20 overs. In response Emanuel had two good batters, one of whom stayed in for almost the whole innings. Wilson’s did well to try to keep the opener off strike and let the lower order batters face most of the bowling. Good line and length from the Wilson’s bowlers and very few extras helped Wilson’s to victory. Atharva was the pick of the bowlers (3 for 14 off 4)

U14A – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to bat. It was difficult to bat on a pitch that had inconsistent bounce and pace. Wilson’s batters showed great character, considering the conditions, and scored 94 all out in 19.5 overs. Viraaj, at the top of the order, battled for 19 off 27 balls and a good last stand of 27 from Abhay and Athi. In reply, the Wilson’s bowlers could not find the length to trouble the Rutlish batters, who hit the ball to all parts of the ground and won by 6 wickets in 13 overs.

U15A – Wilson’s lost the toss and were asked to field. Tidy bowling and some good catches restricted Sutton Grammar to 64 all out in the 18th over. Pick of the bowlers were Pratham (3 for 6 runs) and Neil (also 3 for 6 runs). In reply, Wilson’s comfortably reached Sutton Grammar’s total in the 12th over. Positive batting from Rohan (25 from 25 balls) was the highlight of the Wilson’s innings.

U13A – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to bat. Positive and aggressive batting saw Wilson’s, after 20 overs, score 269 for 3. The top order batters Luca (51 from 19 balls) and Sevin (44 from 24 balls) started the innings well and then Nillan (50 off 20 balls) and Vidur (42 off 16 balls) got us to that large total. Sutton Grammar had no answer to such a high score and were bowled out for 66. Sam (4 for 30 off 4 overs) was the highlight of the Sutton bowlers.

U12A – Wilson’s lost the toss and were put into bat. A disappointing 106 for 6 after 20 overs showed that the Wilson’s batters were not positive in putting away the bad ball. Aadit (23 off 37 balls) was the only one to bat with any positivity. In reply, Wilson’s fielding and a couple of poor overs kept Sutton Grammar in the match, who eventually went on to win by 3 wickets with two balls remaining. Nimay, although he only took 1 wicket, bowled a containing spell only going for 12 off his 4 overs. Devam took 3 wickets in the match.

U12B – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to bat. Raphael and Kushagra both played some lovely shots to keep the scoreboard ticking over. After Raphael was out, the Wilson’s batters supported Kushagra to help him score 22 from 26 deliveries. Wilson’s finished on 126 for 5 off 20 overs. The Sutton Grammar batters struggled to keep up with the run rate and began to lose wickets as desperation crept in. Wickets were shared around and Sutton Grammar were all out for 71 in 17.1 overs.
