On Tuesday of last week seven senior cadets from Wilson’s School CCF (including two from WHSG) attended the ceremony to start the relay of The Torch of Remembrance. The torch was lit and handed by PM Rishi Sunak to Naval Veteran Peter Kent, who handed it on to a chain of military personnel, cadets and other young people, including Company Sergeant Major Wijendra form Wilson’s. The event was covered live on BBC Breakfast with CSM Wijendra centre stage and the remainder of the WSCCF Cadets providing a Guard of Honour. Subsequently the event was covered by all the mainstream news channels.
