Wilson's School

Squash Success

Squash continues to thrive at Wilson's, particularly in the Lower School.

The Year 7 trials have been a success with over 20 students from the year group now regularly training every week. All of these students have had the opportunity to represent the school in a fixture during their first term which has been an exciting time for those involved. This year has been the first time we have entered a team in all 3 National Schools Squash competitions; KS3, KS4 and KS5.

The Year 7 and 8s were given a good experience playing up against Years 7-9 students from opposition schools and gave a good account of themselves against Sevenoaks, Kings School, and Reeds School while using this as a chance to wear their new squash kit. This squad will now move into the Plate Competition with the next round occurring in the new year.

Both the KS4 and KS5 teams performed extremely well, beating various schools including Whitgift, Trinity, Sevenoaks, and Cranmore School. Both these squads now secure their place into Stage 2 of the main draw and are now 1 stage away from getting to the National Schools Final. Well done all!
