Team Reports

U14A – Wilson’s lost the toss and were put into bat and scored 110 all out after 25 overs. Best performances were Avyukth (16 off 28 balls) and Eshvar (20 off 29 balls). The Wilson’s batters were no match for the pace bowling of Whitgift. Class batting from Whitgift saw them finish on £111 for 2 after 16 overs.

U15A – Wilson’s lost the toss and were put into bat against KCS Wimbledon in the quarter finals of the Nat West Trophy. In the 30 over match only the captain Rayyan showed any resolve scoring 48 not out off 88 balls. Wickets tumbled around him but Wilson’s managed to get to 108 for 9. In reply, Wilson’s picked up 5 KCS wickets before passing the Wilson’s low total of 108.

U13A – Wilson’s won the toss and chose to field. Rutlish finished on 109 all out off the last ball of the 20 overs. The main wicket taker Tanush (3 for 13). In reply Wilson’s comfortably reached the Rutlish total in 15 overs with Luca (22) Sevin (34) and Nilin (18).

U13B – Wilson’s lost the toss and were put into bat. Two poor run outs and some indifferent batting saw Wilson’s 4 wickets down before the 5th over. Arnav and Zack steadied the ship but were bowled out for 73. Zack was the pick of the batters hitting 25 off 35 balls. A positive start from the Wilson’s bowlers saw Wimbledon College 3 down in the first 2 overs. Unfortunately, their opening batter scored 50 to win them the game.

1st XI - Wilson’s lost the toss and were put into bat. Not a great performance as the batters got themselves in and then got out cheaply. Wilson’s ended on 107 for 6 off 20 over with Adhrit (20 off 17 balls), Aarush (17 off 29 balls) and Ashutosh (18 off 16 balls) were the main scorers. In reply, Emanuel coasted past the Wilson’s total with a more determined batting display and won by 8 wickets in the 15th over.

U15B – Wilson’s won the toss and chose to bowl first. A good bowling display from Sourya (3 for 18) and Gautam (3 for 2) constricted Wimbledon College to 103 all out. A positive batting display from our opening batters Ayan (29 off 28 balls) and Navaj (49 off 38 balls) saw Wilson’s win in 12 overs.

U12A – Wilson’s lost the toss and were put into field. Sevenoaks were impressive scoring 117 for 6 off their 20 overs. The Wilson bowlers bowled well but some poor fielding helped Sevenoaks to their total. In reply Wilson’s were bowled out for 64 with only 2 batters making double figures.

U14B – Wilson’s lost the toss and Sevenoaks decided to bat. Wayward bowling from Wilson’s saw Sevenoaks hit 96 in the first 9 overs. The introduction of spin from Parth and Tejas changed the match and restricted Sevenoaks to 146 for 9 off 20 overs. In reply, only Parth (45 from 45 balls) showed any resolve. Wilson’s ended on 130 from 20 overs. Overall a good performance, but we just need to bowl and field better.
