Team Reports

Monday

U15B – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to bat. Ayan top scored with 53 off 61 balls and was ably supported by Shankar (30 off 37 balls). A highlights of the innings was excellent running between the wickets from Shankar. Wilson’s finished on 126 off 20 overs. In reply the bowling was shared around and was able to take wickets on a regular basis. Paarush was the pick of the bowlers (4 for 20 off 4 overs).

Tuesday

U13A – Wilson’s won the toss and chose to field. Due to some very tight bowling and good fielding, Emanuel were restricted to 135 for 5 off 20 overs. In reply, Wilson’s scored 137 for 4 off 15 overs. Most satisfying was that all top 5 batters scored, quickly dispatching any bad ball for 4 or 6. Top scorer was Sevin (34 off 24 balls).

U13B - Wilson’s lost the toss and were put into bat. Aaditya (18 off 28 balls) and Pranay (32 off 44 balls) batted sensibly to get Wilson’s to 138 for 5 off 20 overs. Emanuel batted aggressively but kept losing wickets and was bowled out for 91 in the 19th over.

Wednesday

1st XI – Wilson’s won the toss and put Langley Park into bat. On a slow inconsistent bounce wicket, the Wilson’s bowlers did not exploit the conditions. Bowling too short got punished by the Langley batters and ended on 129 for 7 off 20 overs. Pick of the bowlers was Vaibhav (3 for 22 off 4 overs). In reply, Wilson’s lost early wickets but was keeping up with the run rate required. Questionable shot selection and two run outs saw Wilson’s all out for 110. Diyath was the top scorer, with 39 from 32 balls.

Friday

1st XI – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to field. Dropped catches and sloppy fielding combined with 19 extras helped Alleyn’s reach a total of 162 for 5 off 20 overs. Pick of the bowlers was Diyath going for only 18 runs in his 4 overs. In reply, Adrit (22 from 21 balls), Zain (32 from 35 balls) and Diyath (36 from 34 balls) were the main scorers. Unfortunately, Wilson’s could not keep up with the run rate required and lost by 21 runs ending on 141 for 5.

U12A – Wilson’s lost the toss and were asked to field. Aggressive batting from Emanuel saw them start with 31 for 1 in the first few overs. Wilson’s then dropped several catches which enabled Emanuel to go on and score 108 for 6 off their 20 overs. In reply, the Wilson’s batters kept the run rate going at around 7 an over. Aadit, in particular, scored 28 off 30 balls. Wilson’s passed the Emanuel total finishing on 110 for 3 off 15 overs.

U12B – Wilson’s lost the toss and were asked to bowl. Erratic bowling with lots of wides and byes saw Emanuel post a good score of 137 for 4 off 20 overs. Pick of the bowlers was Akshaj (2 for 12). Wilson’s batting performance was very positive: Aditya (29 from 25 balls) and Akshaj (32 from 11 balls) were very aggressive and helped Wilson’s chase down the target, finishing 138 for 7 in 16 overs.

Saturday

U15A – Wilson’s won the toss and batted first. An opening partnership of 82 from Aryaman (40) and Neil (27) and good support from Rayyan (34 from 23 balls) and Ved (23 from 17 balls) set up a competitive total of 145 for 3 off 20 overs. In reply, the bowling was shared around with Saisurya and Ved pick of the bowlers taking 2 wickets each. Alleyn’s ended their innings on 88 for 8 from 20 overs giving Wilson’s the win by 57 runs.

U14A – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to field. Indifferent fielding and short bowling being punished by the Alleyn’s batters took them to a score of 138 after 20 overs. Positive batting from Wilson’s was making it a very exciting finish with Abhay and Avyukth putting on a strong partnership left Wilson’s needing 19 from 12 balls. Cheap run outs saw us fall short of the total by 11 runs.

U13A – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to bat. All top 5 batters kept the scoreboard ticking at around 6 runs per over. Sevin (17 from 24 balls) and Nilin (25 from 27 balls) gave Wilson’s a strong start. Olly coming in at number 3 hit a positive 67 from 38 balls and then Vidur (20 from 17 balls) took Wilson’s to a total of 145 for 5. Alleyn’s struggled against the Wilson’s bowling and were quickly reduced to 22 for 4. Alleyn’s could not recover and were bowled out for 77 in 16 overs.

U13B – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to bowl. A good bowling performance saw Alleyn’s restricted to 83 for 5 from their 20 overs. Pick of the bowlers was Aarav with 2 wickets for 5 runs. After a slow start from Wilson’s and losing early wickets, eventually crossed the line finishing on 84 for 4 in 16 overs. Pick of the batters was Zach (17 from 36 balls) and Aahan who top scored with 21 from 19 balls.

U12A – Wilson’s won the toss and elected to field. A strong bowling performance from all the Wilson’s bowlers saw Alleyn’s bowled out for 36 in 15 overs. A comfortable win for Wilson’s, even though we lost wickets chasing a low total.

U12B – Wilson’s lost the toss and were asked to bat. Wilson’s scored a moderately conservative score of 127 for 4 off 20 overs. Aeshan top scored with 30 runs from 35 balls. In reply Alleyn’s never looked like chasing the total down against a pacey and accurate bowling attack. Alleyn’s wickets tumbled quickly and the match was won in the 12th over.
